Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I believe "Very interesting, but stupid," comes from Laugh-in.

Lightbulb goes off.

Right. Arte Johnson with a German accent (and in a nazi uniform, I think).

My boss just called me, asking if I can check our law book archive in the basement--one of our editors is looking for the 1927 session law listing for North Carolina. 1927?!? WTF?

Sadly, this sounds like a very normal, routine kind of request to me.

eta: If you need help, let me know.

The only three things I know about Laugh-In are: dancing painted girls, the above quote, and a related one about "But in Birmingham they're showing a test pattern."

What? No "Sock it to me!" Ah, the blessings of My Mother The Flower Child.(Although she's a contradiction cause she's still great at handicapping heavyweight boxers.)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Luckily enough, our book archive for North Carolina's session laws goes back to the 1927/28 session--if they needed something from 1926, we would have been SOL. I'm waiting to see if they need just one section, or if I'm going to have to copy the entire act (over 100 pages in a rather fragile book).

Really, you have nothing to fear because my wee little brain can't remember anything but what it is. Go ahead, try Westlaw... works there, too!
