Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Brian T's mathematical analysis of 'predator-prey population dynamics' in Sunnydale, CA. Warning: contains equations. Remember?

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, I saw another Pedigree Adoption program ad - and at first, I was "oh no" - but it turned out to be a "follow-up." You get to see one of the dogs featured in the original ad in his new home.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I'm at the airport too. I'm soooo close to SFistas, but no time to play. Pout.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Feeling better today--best day yet. I am watching Fellowship of The Rings and totally digging on it OF COURSE.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Does anyone else find it odd that the world's largest bus has "Superliner" written on it, even though it's Chinese? I know that they show all sorts of brands and such in non-Chinese languages, but it's a Chinese bus!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I somehow got sucked into watching the Game Show Network (I should watch it more!), and an episode of the Twenty-One remake just started, and reminds me that I tried out for this show! Too bad it didn't last very long, so I never got to play for untold millions.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. Ezra Klien starts sounding kind of Buffistish in this post on health care:

Moreover, Megan's claim that every liberal is for single-payer, but not Britain's NHS, is a bit misleading. Most people use single-payer incorrectly, so it's largely a misunderstanding, and they are in fact for nationalized health care, but not what's considered a bad example of it. A lot of us who aren't for the NHS are for the VA -- and both are single-payer systems, one's just better than the other. It's sort of like how I can be for Cakelove, against those gross Safeway cupcakes, and broadly in favor of delicious baked goods all at the same time!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Cakelove

Mmmmmm, Cakelove.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My mother decided she wanted to be a Buffista today after she was talking about the word column in the Globe, and I knew the information ('gotten' as archaic in the UK, 'spelt' used there), and blamed you people.

The column, which is mostly the old prescriptivist/descriptivist deal, is here: [link]
