Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Always Anti-fascist!

It's hot here... high nineties. Feeling ripped off about not getting even a fricking Spring this year... hope it doesn't stay this hot or it will be a crematorium by august.

Punishingly Intricate

Maybe I shouldn't have mocked the schools.

Hey! yeah! i'm totally blaming you. I did get to leave work an hour early and got home safely in not much longer than it takes me usually but we have a show tonight and, evidently, they never call off rock and roll for inclement weather.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

A couple of days ago the temperature was in the 70s and it was sunny. Today, we have sleet. March, you are one cruel bastard.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita, since I'm around this afternoon, do you need anything? I can easily drop by and drop off some goods on my way to daycare.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Man, it's so beautiful here. I went to the glasses store to get new lenses, and while they were made I splurged on lunch at a cafe, followed by gelato. Yummy yummy gelato.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

yes, March is like a mean drunk. Pleasant and sunny, but then add some liquid, and it's a bitch.

I left early. traffic was a nightmare at 4:45, I can only imagine how bad it got. Took me almost an hour.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Gah. I hate that.

It took me so long to work myself up to making a potentially unpleasant phone call that now, of course, it's after hours and I just got voicemail. On a Friday. When I should have called over a month ago. And now I may have the potentially unpleasant phone call take place *at any unspecified time.*

I hate phone fear; it's so inconvenient.

However? It is the absolutely most gorgeous and lovely day here ever. The Biscuit is out lounging in the kennel. The birds are singing on the neighbor's feeders. It is sunny and 70 and we are just about to finish up our week of music school. So pretty.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I feel you on the phone fear, Liese. I'm completely hopeless - even with the calls that aren't potentially unpleasant. The P. U. calls have a way of just kind of not happening.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Burrell, I only "need" OCD stuff like Swiffer pads and peanut butter. Nothing for real. Just dozing and dazed and trying to follow convoluted British mystery drama. Thanks for the offer, though.

Beverly--don't worry about postage. I'll try and be good and get it burned and mailed this weekend or Monday.

I should have toast and tea and jam. Perfect self pity food. Even better if marmalade is involved.

I gotta get my ass out of self pity land before the black belt test. Can't pass it in this frame of mind.

Yay cab guy!

OK, that commute was seriously sucktastic. It probably took twice as long and I ended up driving all over Kingdom Come (well, ok Park Heights and Pimlico) cause the lights at 2 major intersections were out and I try to avoid braving that particular stupidity in this city in the best of weather. With half an inch of slush on the roads ? Yeah, no.

There are some beautiful derelict rowhomes in the mid section of Park Heights. Sad.
