JHU is closing. JHU NEVER closes.
I know! crazy. My dr. friend only teaches on Wed. and she's all "SNOW DAY" I don't think it's ever happened before.
My cats were sitting on my feet keeping them warm but they riled each other up and ran off. Damned fur coaters. at least I have my laptop to keep me warm.
My nose is cold though.
YAY SNOW DAY!
You know what's extra gross about the wind? It's whipping up the salt that everyone is throwing out on the sidewalks. My mouth tastes nasty now. Also I saw two people wipe out on the way to work, but I was not one of them.
Bah. Curse Chicago and its efficient snowpocalypse infrastructure.
oh man ... they are talking about oysters and champagne on the radio and I have neither and no sweetie and no heat. wah! am feeling very sorry for myself!
lisah is listening to what I am! Except I'm being annoyed by the coyness, instead of feeling sorry for myself. Also? Grossed out by oysters.
Actually, I'm bitter I have to take a vacation day in order to not risk life and limb. Vacation days are for fun! Not stupid administrative decisions.

they are! That's not right at all. I'm lucky I can work at home. And am actually working on something that needs to get done today. Also I have 1/2 a tastykake junior for a treat later...and some really good dark chocolate w/ pink peppercorns.
My actress friend has to get from here to DC today to do a 2 line voiceover job.
Not stupid administrative decisions.
A world of wrod. After it taking an hour to try and get ahold of someone, I finally reached my supervisor's email, which said that if you couldn't get into the office, it wouldn't be counted against you. Damn it if that didn't make me feel bad for not even attempting to get to work.
meh. Good night's sleep gave me a little perspective, and I feel better.
I just had such a horrible day at work yesterday that no breaking even pushed me over the edge.
The snowpocalypse has come to NYC. It's...somethinging out there. Not quite snow, not quite freezing rain. It's like itsy bitsy hail.

I wonder how much of an attempt they would expect? Maybe after you fight off a pack of attacking wolves and then use one of the dead wolves' skull to kill the attacking bear... only to discover that the bear's claws have punctured your walrus-skin kayak....
