it just made him look similar to someone else,
Oliver Reed?
I know who it is! Eddie Izzard with facial hair (at least this iteration of facial hair) reminds me of Hugh Laurie as Dr. House. Particularly around the jaw.

Around the jaw. Really.
I think I have my student loan form all filled out properly, but now I'm stressing that they think I can actually afford this on my own! They say that my "Expected Family Contribution" is over $12,000. Yeah, right.
Broiled salmon with broccoli and miso soup was excellent tonight.
Lee and I had grilled salmon with a lemon wine sauce and grilled asparagus. We're salmon twins!
Just a heads-up, but if there's a traffic spike, I just saw a link to Buffistas on Warren Ellis's board. Specifically, to the Galactica spoilers that I'm definitely not looking at.
...Yet.
Ah, explains the new people over there. I wondered about that.
hmmm... I've just watched the first half of
the Riches.
I think there were parts there were supposed to be humerous, but weren't. At this point I'm not sure how much I care about finishing it. DH has given up.
GA was very enjoyable tonight and I don't think that Ellen Pompeo has ever looked better that
near-death experience thing
was certainly good to Meredeth Grey.
Recorded, Beverly. Want me to burn you off a recording of the third installment?
I'd love it, thanks! Can I pay postage?
Ryan Hurst was also on the TNT series Wanted, which debuted at the same time as The Closer. I was heartbroken when The Closer got picked up and Wanted didn't. It had a fabulous cast of nicely damaged and complicated characters, and no faux-suthren belle whining "Thaynkyewww" all over the place.
Sumi, was Grey's new? My TiFaux said it was a repeat.
It wasn't the manliness of the facial hair -- it just made him look similar to someone else, though I can't think of who.
I keep having to remind myself it's Eddie Izzard and not Ricky Gervais (though it's RG in my memory from the very few episodes of
The Office
I've seen and not from
Extras
).
I also saw
Raines
last night, and it reminded me just how much I enjoy Jeff Goldblum's off-kilter delivery. Plus, he's a detective, and my first exposure to JG was
Tenspeed & Brownshoe
(which was also, along with
Quark,
my first exposure to having a show cancelled out from under me way too soon), so I feel almost nostalgic watching it. Mainly, it shows potential, but they need to beef up the supporting charcters a lot (though they dropped one or two things that could pan out later).
Okay! So apparently a dude was murdered in the building behind ours, and three hot Homicide Detectives came by to question everyone in our apartment building, and I missed it all because I was at the bar.
Er. Not to make the loss of human life all about me, or anything.
