Kristin, if they don't quiet down, call the police for a noise violation. It's mean and petty but I just turned in my neighbors for having bags of trash on their balcony for weeks and it felt kinda good. Portland is supposed to smell the breast of Mother Earth, not garbage. Floral, not decay, basically.

Is childcare deductable?
msbelle, does your employer offer a childcare flex spending account? They take out up to $5K, pretax and you get reimbursed for childcare from the account. It's the same as a health care FSA. I'm not sure if the limit has changed from $5K or not.
DH is spending the day at work dressed as a leprechaun. His department was doing a fundraiser for the local food bank. All the managers had cans with their names on them and the one receiving the most donations has gets to dress as a leprechaun. He was down $100 with an hour to go but I think his boss made up the deficit. They raised almost a $1000. I need to email someone and make sure they take a picture.
