Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, my new clogs that I ordered from zappos.com on Friday arrived today, yay! They're very comfortable; I think they're going to work out just fine. I also had dinner with a friend tonight, and I was discussing my new shoes... guess who lives less than an hour away from a Dansko outlet where I can get them for about half price? Apparently, I do. If only I'd known to consult with S first. Ah, well. We've made plans to go up there anyway. More shoes for me!

(I know I could return these since I haven't worn them outside yet, but I'm going to keep them. It'll be a month before I get up there, and I've been dying to try these out, so...)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am left over wired from caffeine. I have no interest in doing my work for work, but could easily stay up another 2 hours cleaning out stuff in my room to get rid of.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I was going to sympathize with childhood home loss, but then I realized that my childhood home, which my parents sold two years ago, was in fact part of a development built on what used to be someone's family farm.

So, uh, maybe I'm not the right person for this.

Art Crawl!!!

The Riches started out rollicking and then took quite a turn. Eddie Izzard is supposed to be answering fan questions in the fan podcast at the FX website.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

All Tommorow's Parties is a great book. I should reread it. I should reread all my Gibson. It's been a while since I did that.

I must be, like, a subtaster. I like really acidic and bitter things. Also salty, but I think that's just the Japanese thing.

Salt and vinegar: mmmmm.

I love salty. I do not love bitter, but most vegetables don't taste bitter to me, except for things like bitter greens, which I do not like one bit. Grapefruit is also blech. Blech, blech, blech. And, of course, blech to cilantro, which tastes like soap.
