Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to practice more. I don't know how to go about doing that.

Nothing to it but to do it. The book doesn't come out for a while yet, so you've got time.

TAR: Rob did immediately know that Magellan was from Spain, which, WTF, Uchenna and Joyce?? Seriously?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Were we aware that Eddie Izzard has a new series on FX, starting tonight? [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh dear -- I postponed watching TAR last night, so going ahead and reading the whitefont makes me just a little disappointed (but I'll get over it).

The cats have seen to it that I did not oversleep this morning -- I'd like to think they were being helpful but really, they were just concerned that with the clocks shifting around we might forget to feed them....

I woke up before my alarm this morning, and I just blamed it on the time change, until just now, when I realized that makes no sense! Weird.

At least my boss is working from home today.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Unless your subconscious took into account the time change when it decided to wake you up....

I think maybe it was the thing my subconscious does when I have to wake up extra-early for something else, and decides to wake up even earlier than that just to be on the safe side. Silly subconscious!

information libertarian

I think I am going to have to go home and take a nap. Curse you, time change!!

That so happened to me yesterday. I woke up every hour on the hour from 2 a.m. on. So frustrating.

I've been waking up at 5 (only briefly) for a while now, which was annoying. Somehow waking up at 6 (I don't get up till close to 7:30) is less so. Probably because I don't fall back into a deep sleep to be awoken rudely by the alarm.

I just got an error message while Buff Diving, and it took me several read-throughs to figure out that a) there is no Buffista called ERROR and b) it wasn't funny.

You were probably Buff Diving while I was updating. If not, we're in trouble.
