"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thisis why I love hwere I work: someone brought in a lot of wigs she had sitting around and the office had impromptu wig day.

Fun! You and Alibelle shared the curly wig!

So. Awesome. Robin.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those pictures are hilarious! I wish we had wig day.

And JAR! Conviction. Yum.

Exactly!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

From what I've read, the effect of duct tape is indirect. The adhesive in the tape irritates the wart, which changes the wart in a way that makes it easier for the body to recognize it as an intruder and destroy it. In any case, there are very good studies showing that it works for common warts.

That's really interesting. I like medical treatments that work by pointing out stuff to your body. Like saying "Hey, you missed that!"

Last year I partially dislocated my shoulder (by shrugging - I'll have to be less enthusiastic in my anomie). Anyway, the physiotherapist did some acupuncture and gave the same sort of explanation - that the needles irritated the shoulder and encouraged more "rebuilding" in the area.

Shit I'm going to try really hard not to say: Why can't you just add that line I just emailed you into the document I emailed you before? I cannot believe how many rounds we are going with this stupid thing!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's how my acupuncturist explains what he's doing. Which I'm totally down with. I like a good square explanation. I have no antipathy towards chi, but I've had one session with a floaty acupuncturist, and it just ended up irritating me. I'll stick to the ones that explain practically, and use medical terms to boot.

Robin, that is the coolest thing ever! And I totally didn't recognize you until I looked for the sweater.
