I can't even.

The preview for next week's Studio 60 was better than this episode.

Really? I should watch the show then. Maybe it just twigged me. I knew that place.

Art Crawl!!!

I liked the Sharpei in Non-Specific alot. Also the Shiba. But I just like Shibas. But of course, a poodle won it. 4 groups tonight and 50% of them won by poodles.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, Deb knows Neil Gaiman.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Jilli as well, right?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jilli as well, right?

Isn't it more important to note that Neil Gaiman knows Jilli than the other way around?

SA's met him too.

Sounds like a good mix to me, sarameg.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I went to his hotel room once, does that count? Not with him or anything. My best friend from junior high was helping him out at a con and we went up to get something.

Didn't have any real interaction with him -- I had no opinion about Scotch to relate, so I stayed on the other end of the conversation pool. Talking about computer science, probably. As one does.

ETA: So I guess one could say I definitely don't know him. But I guess he's about a half-degree away, Kevin-Bacon-wise.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Deb knows him in a literary sense, which was why the connection came to mind. Exploit all angles, say I. I wish I had a better angle other than the crazy bookstore-owning cousin.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Playlists! I have an on topic query.

I want to make up a playlist that contains songs by Neko Case, Julee Cruise and Bjork. I'm not entirely sure how to explain why I think they go together. Does anyone have recommendations for other artists to include? I'll also take suggestions for what the playlist name.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have no suggestions. I'm like Sarameg with regard to the playlists. The closest thing I have to a playlist right now is "songs for the drive home from work that probably won't make me any more cranky than I already am because of the stupid drivers."
