The status is NOT quo.

I am so not looking; the Tivo has been tivoing for the past hour while I cleaned and got stuff ready, and now I'm patiently awaiting guests and not peeking, no matter how much I'm tempted by people talking about the gorgeosity of Kate Winslet. It's worth being behind a bit to get to skip past the commercials anyway.

This! We're ignoring the TV until we actually start watching. Whatever did we do before Tivo??

Dear Emily Blount,

I don't know who you are, but you need to give your stylist a giant raise. Your dress is simple, but fits perfectly and looks great on you.

Love,
me

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ryan Gosling is my new Edward Norton.

Ha! That's an excellent call. Especially when they showed a clip of him in some Nazi movie, and I thought it was American History X.

Because books.

I love the Oscars, but I don't even know why I'm watching -- I think out of all the movies nominated I saw ... Monster House. It was a very bad year for me getting the movies.

And, apparently, NetFlixing or buying DVDs in a timely fashion.

Kate Winslet looks great. I'm not in love with the color, but it's a good classic dress. And she's so beautiful.

Thrive to spite them

Kate Winslet looks stunning.

Because books.

There's Kate Winslet! Oh, she does look lovely. She has that classic English rose complexion that can really carry off those pale, cool colors.

I want to look like Helen Mirren when I'm her age.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I need to be stopped from reading Dawson's Creek fanfic which makes me cry

I think that's the rule.

Stop.

Helen Mirren is fantastic looking. I'm not a fan of this dress though. It's a bad color, I think, but I'm not a fan of champagne colored dresses. Her Golden Globe dress was so much better.
