Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Kristin and Maria!

Congrats Allyson! Would it be ok if I suggested to a bookseller at the con I'm attending that he should carry your book? I think there would be a market at the cons where he sells books.(general and filk cons)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I heard this morning that we would have 4-8 inches of snow, so I've been putting together some work so that I could work from home tomorrow. Just checked the weather channel, and it says accumulation of less than one inch. hmm.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Steph, snow accumulation of less than one inch. The sleet and freezing rain is going to make driving a bitch in the area, and it's supposed to continue into Wednesday.

I'm packing up the laptop and working from home tomorrow. In my neck of the woods, we're supposed to get the 4-8 inches.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That's fabulous news, Allyson. I'll be pimping your book to my mom; I'm not sure how many she'll get for her bookstore, but she is a genius book saleswoman and I guarantee that however many she gets, she'll sell and then end up needing to order more copies due to other customers eavesdropping on the people she's pimping the book at.

And now I'm wondering how many of my family and non-Buffista friends will get me copies of your book for my birthday and Christmas this year, with little notes saying, "This sounded so right for you!"

Also? You would be delicious on Jon Stewart.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wish my MiL still worked in a school library, because I'd pimp the book to her like mad. Right now she works in a prison library, and I'm not sure it's quite the demographic your book will appeal to.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I just pre-ordered Allyson's book. And I'm planning to pimp it to, say, everyone in fandom when the actual publication date gets closer.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Holy ass, shrift. I wanted to ask for your help but felt bad about being all burdeny.

THANKS!!! (interrobang happy)

Also, my editor just asked if I sent out my cyber army, because my sales rank is like, 2800 or something (which doesn't really mean anything, I've discovered).

I said that this was just the immediate cyber family.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I said that this was just the immediate cyber family.

The ripples are starting to spread. I just sent out a link to one of my family's yahoo groups as well as a list of RL friends here in town.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, I'm so pimping it to my flist, Allyson, although I'm sure Shrift will get more coverage.

I haven't quite pre-ordered it, since I don't get paid for another couple of weeks, but it's in the "save for later" shopping cart at Amazon.
