Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Purloined. I am thieflike.

Aw, man. I will bide my time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Okay, after all the liquor talk this morning, I somehow find myself out of beer. Feh. Do I go get some, or just go to bed? It sounds like the snow has died down, but on the other hand, I did just take off my socks. What to do, what to do?

From TPM: It doesn't appear to be online yet, but Seymour Hersh has a piece in the latest New Yorker on Pentagon contingency planning for a military strike against Iran.

Okay, that settles it. I need more alcohol.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

anyone familiar with a children's book series about a dog named Carl?

Absolutely I recall the day Good Dog Carl arrived when I was working at the library. iirc the only words in the book are, "Look after the baby Carl." and "Good dog, Carl." in between which the parents take off! It was hilarious and beautifully illustrated.

eta I stopped for a nice bottle of bubbly on the way home. I am now drunk.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know a very nice black greyhound named Carl. This should be him, dressed up for his owners' wedding: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was going to post about my aversion to animals in clothing, but greyhound Carl is very dapper.

I know no dogs named Carl.

Bread is proofing.

Ice cream is freezing.

Now to watch Psych.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was very cute. The bride's mother made the collars as a surprise. They only wore them for photos, but they held up very well.
