hip deep in pie

Crap! My brain fog has caused me to bite down on my temporary filling and break it! I don't want to go to the dentist again!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The phrase "e pluribus unum" originally comes from a recipe for salad dressing.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

t jealous

Damn, JZ. I'll give you the company car if I could just have the water cooler with the dual spouts! No more microwaving water for tea. Oh, the very thought is sheer bliss.

information libertarian

My major perq at work is all the library books I can check out, with basically no fines ever.

There is occasionally free leftover food.

In Wrong news, a major donor is a Pepsi executive, so there is no Coke machine in the building, and no Coke served at any events in the building.

Coding and Sleeping

a water cooler in the department main office that does both cold and hot water!!!!!!

Filtered water, cold, lukewarm (why?), and hot, that's right, the trifecta. Plus, ice machine. Soda, flavored water, and fruit juice. There are no beverage complaints. There's not enough free T-shirts though, and where are the free jeans? I actually have to buy my own clothing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What kind of air molecule was it?

Pretty sure it was a diatomic oxygen molecule....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Because our office is pretty isolated and they don't want people leaving every day for lunch, we get free lunch twice a week, plus free fruit, cereal, bagels, English muffins, and toast and 5 or 6 kinds of soda every day.

You could alternate that with checking your email.

Not that I do that or anything.
