"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I think ultimately, we complain about whatever. It's kinda just there, you know?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There's this certain air molecule two feet in front of me (and a little to the right) that just sucks!!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Probably belongs to Teppy.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There's this certain air molecule two feet in front of me (and a little to the right) that just sucks!!!

It's a tiny, tiny black hole!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's this certain air molecule two feet in front of me (and a little to the right) that just sucks!!!

Wait! It just moved, didn't it?

Yeah, how did you know? Someone opened the front door and away it went. Now I don't know where it is anymore.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Why do companies comp sodas for people making $100K a year when they can afford to buy their own damned sodas?

This company doesn't, at least anymore. World HQ in MI has soda machines on every floor and coffee works on the honour system--25 cents a cup. Here, we used to get free soda but with the recent troubles in the industry, the VP felt it was bad form to continue. Coffee, though, is still free in the DC office.

Do you want to know what perq causes people to act like their families are being slaughtered? Company cars and fuel cards. I have never seen such vitriol in my life. I, for one, am everlastingly grateful that I have a mode of transportation that costs me much, much less than if it was actually mine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There aren't really any perqs here, but when I worked at United Way, the president had his own suite with his several assistants, with a whole stocked kitchen. The rest of us got diddlysquat.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. Damn air molecule. You can never tell when that sucker's coming back, either.

Punishingly Intricate

nevermas, n. A time or date which never comes.

this word made me all melancholic.

We have subsidized snacking here. 25 cent sodas, which I don't drink at all anymore. I cared more about the snacks when we had Tastykakes in the machine (those were 35 cents).
