This is true. It's also running it basically uncut, which is pretty interesting.

I'm not sure, because I am a Catholic godparent, even though I am neither Catholic nor baptized. I believe I did have to agree to raise the child as a Catholic, but if that was the wish of the parents, I would do so. The godfather is Catholic, though

you can have one non Catholic godparent. My BFF is Catholic and her husband (and her husband's BFF) are Jewish. But even before they got married, she said that any kids would have to be raised Catholic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just learned that BET is running or will be running The Wire.

I just watched two of them today! It's great -- as far as I can tell, the only editing is blanking out "fuck," "cunt," and anything else at that level, and blurring out naked bodies. Sweet.

AND I just filed my taxes! Yay! Although, I kind of thought I would be getting more money back (due to working fulltime only half of the year, and the tuition tax credit stuff), which makes me worry I'm not withholding enough from my job. Something to look into, I guess.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, they just cough-button the "F-word". Which, as it's The Wire, makes everybody a little aphasic, but at least it's not like "motherfarker" or something. "Bullshit" got through fine.

Yeah, the blanking out is just fine -- you can fill it in easily enough. I did love the one scene that was basically all "Mother_____er." "_____in A." "Mother____ER." "_____."

I know. Uncut, it is a beautiful thing. Because they take those two words and express every possible human emotion with them. And they *know* what the other means. But, yeah, now it's Marcel Marceau. That's in there because Detective McClarney said once that someday detectives would have a language with just those two words in it. Just fyi, if you try to do that in a fancy restaurant with your Wirefiend friend...my friend found she got lots of attention from the waitstaff.

It's still way better than sitting around thinking about how I really should get my hands on the DVDs, though!

So T saw the tow truck, I guess, and I got a call from her, saying if I needed a ride, her dad could give me one. Neighbors like these are a great thing.

Aaaand, Miss Louise is in the hospital. I met the paramedics coming up the stairs as I was heading to the laundry. She's been fainting or close to it the past 2 days (!!!!!!) and the home nurse (who comes in just about every day, but was off yesterday) put her foot down and called an ambulance. She's so damned stubborn about her health and will get right up to asking for help and then change her mind. At least the nurse won't (probably can't, for liability reasons) let that slide.

Yeah, totally. Makes my missionary work easier. And I totally admire how Detective Kima says "Bullshit", btw. Gives the expletive all power and respect.
