Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Thanks so much you guys. I was utterly stunned. I mean, not so stunned that we haven't had arguments before as to when to get ready to get engaged but I really wasn't expecting this any time before August so I was too flabbergasted to answer when he presented me with the ring shortly after I got home from work tonight (and soon after his plane landed a day late). Just utterly shocked. We went to my fave resto after and the chef introduced herself and gave us some treats and we got some drinks so = drunk.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Congrats Bon and Bob! And the day-late engagement makes a much better story than if everything had gone according to plan!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My commute today took 90 minutes thanks to a pile-up at Belmont.

Pfft, I wish I had a 90 minute commute and a root.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Congrats to Bon Bon!

And thanks to lisah and sarameg for helping me de-stress before my interview. If you can believe it, I'm just getting back now (12:30 am) because traffic from DC caused my interviewers to be 1 1/2 hours late to dinner. I was a bit mad since I felt bad for rushing out on buffistas when I could have spent many many hours more with them! On the other hand, that gave me plenty of time to prepare and work off the two martinis I had with said buffistas. Here's hoping the ~ma can work its powerful magic.

Oh, and this?

Anyway. I was thinking how funny it is that meeting new people I've "known" for years causes so much post-meet trepidation. OMG, I had TWO glasses of wine. Did I babble? I know I stutter sometimes, did I? Was I a big dork? Do I eat grossly?

Is crazy talk. It was great fun and I hope to do it again soon when we have a bit more time to sit back and relax.
