Strega, do not kill your clutch! (of course, if it is an auto, totally different set of worries.)

Heh. Yeah, it's automatic. I didn't push it, 'cause it was pretty clear that there was no traction at all.

I just called in and told a co-worker what was up, and she said nothing was going on anyway so not to stress about it if I couldn't get out. So I won't!

I think Hayden is expecting their second. I mean, his wife is the pregnant one.

OK, I'm off. May my clutch behave.

What is even happening?

flea, that's right! I knew there was another Buffista sprog waiting in the wings. I just read those Moxie articles. This...

I'm afraid to go to bed. So I don't go to bed. So I get less sleep. But I just can't face waking up, so I'm afraid to sleep.

Oh, man, I remember that feeling far too well, considering how long ago it happened. Julia and Chris were easy sleepers. I think they were a month old, and they gave up their 2:00am feeding. It was heaven. I'd feed them at 10pm and they'd sleep 'til 6am. But Ben's first couple of months were horrible. He was up most of the night, every night. I developed a lot of bad sleep habits in that time, for exactly the reason Moxie talks about.

JZ, as for the situation with the supervisor who's grooming you, despite good intentions in pushing and challenging you she's dealing primarily with things you do. You're giving greater priority to the things that make you who you are, the really important stuff like family and pursuits that nourish your soul. That strikes me as a very wise approach.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Julia and Chris were easy sleepers. I think they were a month old, and they gave up their 2:00am feeding. It was heaven. I'd feed them at 10pm and they'd sleep 'til 6am.

I'm sorry, Cindy, but I'm going to have to kill you now.

::drops knife, fumbles for it, loses three fingers::

As soon as I'm more awake, I am totally going to kill you.

eta: Awww, thanks, Matt! I am trying really really hard not to choose the more difficult job just because it's more difficult, but my stern scoldy work ethic keeps scowling at me, the bitch.

What is even happening?

But Ben was EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Evil. You missed the point. In fact, Ben's sleeping was so bad, that Scott never realized how good a baby Julia was, and didn't realize it about Christopher, until we had A Talk.

He got to the point where he would hear their pacifiers fall (and this is after they moved out of our bedroom). That would wake him, and he'd go running in, find the damned binky, and replace it, before they ever woke.

This may explain why I was able to sleep through my daughter vomiting, two mornings in a row.
