Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Thanks for all the fish.

Gothy goodness

Has been updated to include a marvelous picture of Ouise, her sister Nora, and their friend Jane.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Here are a few pictures from last night's Hecufest at Ellen's.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Okay, donations have been made to First Book and Heifer.org in honor of Joss, and to First Book in honor of Petrie. Just waiting for knitted items and the DavidFury.net bib to arrive.

The Heifer honor card is lovely, and reads, "Congratulations to Joss Whedon and Kai Cole. To celebrate your impending parenthood, we have sent goaty goodness to those less fortunate. A gift of love has been given in your name by The Buffistas. May this gift of Goat bring you joy as it brings hope and nourishment to a family in need.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Alert to Canadians and anyone else who gets Space:

They will be airing the original, unabridged version of Once More, With Feeling on Wednesday, November 13th at 8:00 ET.

Anyone* whose VCR failed, take note.

*ok not anyone. Any Canadian. Who has cable.

OK. The baskets are filled and decorated. I put The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, a Vampire Kitty stuffed animal, DavidFury.net bib, and Anne's knitted hat in Doug Petrie's basket. Waiting on one pair of booties.

Joss' basket is filled with books, waiting on a baby blanket, I think, and a book from Australia.

That's about it. As soon as the items arrive, I'll either drive them over or send them.

OK. Likely cocooning for a week. I'll let you know when I've delivered the goods.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Pictures of what I did over the past weekend

Sometime in Nov., the Discovery Channel will be showing a series called "Weird Weddings". As soon as I know when the "goth" episode will be airing, I'll let folks know.

The wedding & reception were lovely, and worth all the hard work a bunch of local goths put into it. And I've almost completely caught up on my sleep again. :-)
