Slacker Secret Santas: all of you who e-mailed me should have an e-mail with a giftee name and snail-mail address. Please let me know if there's any problem. Also, if there's anything you'd like to ask your giftee and you'd like me to be the middleperson, then I'd love to.Thanks for playing!
So-so-not-tiny (yeah, yeah, we've already covered that) Jewish not-Santa.
On the plane catch you all on the flip side. Any DC localistas who missed it, dinner tonight at Zaytinya at 8!
Secondly, if you want to follow along, the event I am attending tomorrow is a public reading of the Apology to Native Peoples buried in the 2009 appropriations bill. Native readers will read the unrelated text and non Native readers will read the translated apology. It will livestream on wirelesshogan.com's youtube channel. I'd appreciate if you'd ask your local reps to attend and watch the event. Thanks guys!
I'm a Slacker Santa.
Where do I find my giftee's address and their list of preferences?
THANKS!
I'm thinking of seeing the 11am screening of the Hobbit. 3D IMAX, at Boston Common tomorrow (Friday). Anyone in? Send a note to the profile address, or use F2F.
(this is in Boston)
Hey--if any of you are Flickr Pro subscribers and haven't been by in a while, they seem to be giving away three extra months of Pro without restrictive fine print. Go and have a look: [link]
Could anyone local(ish) foster our two cats for a little while?Maybe just a week or two? My profile address is good.
For fans of SF Squeecast, a certain blog column about food and genre fiction is one of those mentioned this month. Around the 20 minute mark. It's a great show, and a great conversation.
I updated my crafting blog today. I am attempting to catch up in all things internet.

I know that several of us here have enjoyed reading Mark Reads and Mark Watches. I am campaigning to get Mark on the Hugo ballot for Best Fan Writer, which I think he can actually win, given the various professional writers who would support him. But first we have to collect enough nominations.
If you voted in last year's Hugos, please consider nominating Mark Oshiro for Best Fan Writer.
If you would like to nominate him, you can buy a Supporting Membership for $60, but you have to do it by January 31 to nominate for this year. If you can't afford a full membership, we are taking donations to buy as many memberships as we can for Mark Does Stuff folk.
I think it would be awesome for an actual fan writer—as opposed to a published author—to win Best Fan Writer (not to mention a gay person of color), so if you want to help, please do! Thanks.
