Compassionately intolerant

Calling all pet owners tired of schlepping heavy bags of dog food and having to improvise because you forgot to pick up the cat food and/or litter.

I have a personal request that could work out really well for you!

The pet store that I normally work with in exchange for Bartleby’s supplies has sold out to a restaurant, so a significant source of support has gone away. In these difficult times, that hurts more than I like to confess.

However, I found a terrific, inexpensive delivery service that could potentially cover Bartleby’s needs while removing a certain amount of stress from YOUR life at no additional cost to you.

Petflow is a supply service that is super easy to use while offering competitive or better prices on all your food, treat, supplement and litter needs. They deliver it all to your door for a flat, 4.95 UNLIMITED shipping rate. When I think of the time it takes to get to the store and the wear and tear of schlepping the stuff home, $5 seems more than worth it.

The prices are great. For instance, my dog food brand (Taste of the Wild) costs exactly the same as the retail store (but without tax) and the Merrick Lamb Squares I use as treats costs 30% LESS than the store!

When you set up your delivery schedule, (from 1-14 weeks) you can rest assured that your furry friend will always have supplies on hand. You can cancel or modify your order and schedule at any time.

PLEASE consider what it costs you in time, effort, travel, tax AND brain space (my memory ain’t what she used to be, that’s for sure) and then use my dedicated link to remove those cares from your mind!

Order here

If you have any questions, please drop me a line at my profile addy.

I thank you and Bartleby thanks you more than you could know!

The fine print: 1. You must use the dedicated link for me to get credit. [link] 2. Each new user must be a unique customer, with unique shipping and billing address 3. Each new customer must be a recurring customer (one time purchases do not qualify) 4. Each new customer must create a delivery program with at least $30 per shipment 5. Each new customer must have at least 1 valid shipment

Punishingly Intricate

My bike team just put together this, I have to say, AMAZING! pinup style calendar to raise money for Moveable Feast of Maryland (who provide food and nutritional counseling, amongst many other things, for people living with HIV/AIDs and breast cancer). We are selling them on our Team Atomic website.

They will make seriously good gifts for anyone who likes pretty ladies and/or bikes!!!

(And, btw, I'm on the cover!)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm not sure if everyone's already heard about this, but just in case: If you've ever commented on any of the Gawker blogs - Lifehacker, io9, Gizmodo, Jezebel, etc etc, their user database was hacked and released into the wild over the weekend.

More info is here: [link]

You can check to see if your account was compromised here: [link]

Or just change your password on any of the Gawker sites anyway, just to be sure. More importantly, if you tend to use the same login/password on multiple sites, whether Gawker is among them or not, this would be a good time to change, or someday you'll be doomed to an eternity of inadvertently sending out twitter spam about acai berries.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Bare Necessities is having a 25% off sale until 12/14, and with some existing discounts I just got two Le Mystere bras shipped to me for a total of $71.00. [link]

Now tagless for your comfort.

My roller derby team is preparing to jump into a frozen Wisconsin lake in order to raise money for Special Olympics. If you feel so inclined, check out our team page and make a pledge.

Thanks!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

One of the Browncoats (who shall be nameless to protect his identity) has come up with a cRaZy notion to do a Watch n Post using modern technology. It involves Xbox, Netflix Streaming, "Watch With Party", and Serenity. If folks know if other streaming devices can join the party, please let us know!

Right now, it is the beginnings of a working theory. Something to see if it would work. But, it would seem to me, that since Netflix has a lot of the Jossverse streaming now, it could lead to an interesting way to revisit our favorite shows.

The recently started discussion begins here: omnis_audis "Firefly 5: That's my girl... That's my good girl." Dec 18, 2010 1:03:57 pm PST Comments, suggestions, help, and hopefully participation are most welcome!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Lonely Planet has made their iPhone/iPod Touch guides to many European cities available for free for the next 24 hrs (ish) to help travelers stranded by the weather. Get 'em while they're hot!

Our wings are not tired.

My longtime friend Carol (the one who covers "Top Chef" for the Washington Post, and has cooked/blogged her way through French Laundry Cookbook) is once again using her PR skillz to support "Share Our Strength", an awesome charity that helps keep food on kids' tables. Not only can you give as little as $5 to help, but she's giving away, lottery-style, some pretty neat prizes to donors. I hope you'll help.

Happy Holidays all. For the yuletide I've posted a holiday card appropriate to my Buffistas. It is a large HTML page, so to get the impact you will have to read and then scroll to read and view the rest. File sizes should be comparatively kind to those with slow connections. [link]
