Helllooo Buffistas, book lovers and Bay Areans. These are exciting times in Katieville:
I've put my art projects into the window at The Book Shop. It's really incredible for me to behold all this stuff unpacked at the same time. It'll be on display throughout February, so come on by, represent, support my local independent bookstore. Purty please?
Come on by for my Meet the Artist Party
Saturday, February 13, 12-3
The Book Shop
1007 B Street at Main
Hayward, CA 94541
Close to Hayward BART, plenty of free parking, right next door to the Bistro Cafe, so getting a bite will be easy.
Oh, and if you just want to see pictures?

Today was the first official time I'm on SheKos' Media beat.

All - please vote for the project I volunteer with in New Orleans, which for two weeks each spring works to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward in a green manner. This effort supports an initiative by the residents of the neighborhood to make it carbon and climate neutral. It also helps preserve the amazing architectural legacy of the area.
I'll be happy to answer questions or direct you to someone who can. Thank you.
Help Historic Green by voting for us for a $5,000 grant to support our rebuilding work in the Lower 9th Ward. Vote for us three times before 2/15, then encourage your friends and networks to do the same. It’s simple –the project with the most votes wins!
All you need to do is: Go to Brighter Planet’s Site; Create a login on their site (don’t worry they don’t sell your email or sign you up for anything); Log in; Click on the ‘project fund’ tab and Cast your vote for Historic Green’s Spring Greening.

New grist post:
Create jobs, reduce lung disease, and help solve the climate crisis at zero cost. Cash for caulkers at a profit!
Typo, that link doesn't go anywhere.
No longer quite so new Grist Post, now with correct link:
Create jobs, reduce lung disease, and help solve the climate crisis at zero cost. Cash for caulkers at a profit!

If you ever loved me, or liked me, or COMMed something I said, or smooched me at an f2f, or just know what it means to miss New Orleans, then please vote for Historic Green to win $5000. We have a narrow lead and there are only three days left to vote. I promise we will use the money wisely to help the Lower Ninth Ward rebuild and I will post pictures from my trip to New Orleans.
I AM SHAMELESS. VOTE.
I will even bribe you by promising to answer (privately if necessary) any one question you feel like asking me.
You get bonus points (and questions, if you like) for reposting and/or Tweeting.

THANK YOU!
Okay, y'all, last big push. Like an NPR fund drive, this will soon be over. I thank you for your patience and your votes.
Note - I have learned that it is THREE VOTES PER EMAIL ADDRESS. *ahem* Never mind, voting from multiple accounts is prohibited in the ToS.
Historic Green needs your help asap! We have ONE
day to attain the most votes on Brighter Planet in order to
receive a $5000 Grant for our upcoming Spring Greening event in New Orleans! The vote is very close. Help us win! This is an extremely easy way to help out with an event that provides
exciting volunteer opportunities in the Lower 9th Ward! Please take 3-to-5minutes to register and vote three times using the information below. Thanks for your help – we can’t do it without you!

WE DID IT!!! HISTORIC GREEN GOT THE $5000 GRANT! And I really mean we, because of all my friends, Buffistas were the most diligent about reposting and boosting the signal. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, my fellow volunteers thank you, and the Lower Ninth Ward thanks you.
