Compassionately intolerant

I mentioned up thread that I am in the process of relaunching my website with a blog and different marketing language.

I've pretty much finished it, except for needing to add a bunch of posts to the blog.

If you are bored and/or have an eye for typo spotting, I'd be grateful for any comments.

The link goes to the production site:

eta: Forgot to mention that the FAQ tab at top right has been squooshed to the next line by the graphic. That will be fixed this evening.

Also, the right side nav bar has some broken links that will be fixed at the same time.

etaa: Whoa. My sleep deprivation is showing for sure. Rather than jumping into the Shane love pool (come on in the water is fine!) any comments are welcome at my profile addy.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Some of us were discussing (in Natter) setting up a nail polish exchange, in which we will find new homes for nail polishes that are either duplicates or shades that are just not us.

I am not sure how this will work yet, but I will work it out. (I am thinking a round robin)

If you would be interested in participating, please email me what shades you have (if any), what shades you might like (if any), and your address.

Herding cats for fun

Exciting Katie news: I will be Artist of the Month this February at The Book Shop here in Hayward. I am massively excited at the thought of going public with my stuff; I am also terrified and halfway planning to run away instead.

Mostly I've got felted animals and rugs and cloth dolls and stuffed elephants. The crown of the collection will be either the Green Dinosaur or the Purple Dragon, and in either case they're complete with teeth and toenails and pleasant expressions.

The Book Shop in on B Street, where there is plenty of free parking and it's convenient to BART. Next door is a coffeeshop, where I plan to have a Meet the Artist Party on Saturday, February 6, with an option that I'll change my mind and choose Saturday, February 13 instead. Save the date and stay tuned for exact details.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I don't normally do these sorts of things but...

My multi-theremin band The Lothars was nominated by someone (I swear I don't know the person!) to play at Lollapalooza in Chicago this August. It looks like whoever gets the most votes gets the slot. It only takes a minute to vote. Here's how:

First, register for the Lollapalooza message board here. You don't need to give any personal information other than an email address.

Second, cast your vote here.

That's it! And thanks!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Never mind -- I am an idiot. The vote was for a fan-created make-believe festival. D'ohh!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Buxom Buffistas take note: I have two or three VERY comfy Wacoal bras, barely worn, in black, sized 40DD that I am giving away. First come, first serve. You can email my profile addy for pics or more information.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Because this kind of thing can't be repeated enough:

Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl, St. Joseph Aspirin, Rolaids Recall Containers' Moldy Odor to Blame for Recall of 60 Million Over-the-Counter Products

Jan. 15, 2010 -- Because of a sickening smell in some containers, 54 million packages of 27 different over-the-counter remedies now are being recalled.

Products include various types of child and/or adult Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl, St. Joseph Aspirin, Rolaids, and Simply Sleep. This adds to the 6 million packages of Tylenol recalled late last year, bringing the total number of recalled products to 60 million.
