I think what my daughter's trying to say is: nyah nyah nyah nyah.

Coding and Sleeping

From past history, this appears to be the place to talk about starting blogs. I have a new blog about my experience trying to write a book.

I Play an Author on the Internet

For some reason my web host seems sort of slow today. Bother.

I intend frequent updates.

Also if you know of a blog or site that it would makes sense to link to (i.e. other Buffista blogs) let me know.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

ATTN F2F PEEPS!

Last call for special requests for the Hospitality Suite. We are about to make The RUN!

You should have my cell on the contact list, and I think I put my email there, too. Have iPhone, will travel.

Sorry for the delay. Car needed an emergency brake job.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Just a reminder, there is a Buffistas group on Flicker [link] Joining the group makes it a bit easier to share your photos with other members of the group, while still being able to keep them private, even if not all members of the group are in your contacts list. Since usernames are not all the same, we don't always instantly recognize each other. My user name there is merriwyllow, for instance.

In the group we can't have sets of photos, but can do tags. There is already a tag for Seattle.

Art Crawl!!!

I've been trying to link various parts of this list in the appropriate threads - but guess what? Our favorite shows in any number of threads show up in TV Guides' list of Top 100 TV Episodes of all Time:

100-81
80-61
60-41
40-21
20-11

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Well, I'm still dark-from-b.org by the-force-of-too-many-finals, but that doesn't mean my mind is dead. Yet. Even though they try very hard at HUJI.

Hence, breaking my method of internet usage for the first time in eight years, I blog.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Vote for Buffy (rather than current favourite Adam Lambert, ffs*) as the ultimate Head Bitch In Charge here.

*is slays me that fandom - even this predominantly female corner of fandom - is so determined to love the boys more than the girls. ffs. All these awesome female characters, and it's STILL some guy who's getting all the love. Do. Not. Want.

Two new Grist pieces. The first argues that the Waxman-Markey climate bill is NOT better than nothing, that it not only fails to reduce greenhouse gas pollution, but that it is not a basis for future real climate change. The second provides evidence that the leverage passing this will give the U.S. will be used to sabotage rather than advance international climate agreements.
