Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

My mom is continuing to improve. She's tired and weak and cranky and her sense of time is a bit wonky, but she's talking more and has been sitting up and even out of bed with help. Thank you so much for all of the ~ma and support. You guys rock like a thing that rocks.

Swouncing

Still trying to fit into Dani's big hat, for the Secret Santa Exchange:

Anyone interested in exchanging small presents with other Buffistas during the holiday season, email me at my profile address with your Buffista name and a snail-mail location to which people can send your loot. I will match up givers & giftees in a highly rigorous, random process - i.e. drawing names out of a hat.

Please try to email me by November 23. I'll match names and send out notices by November 24, to allow for lots of present buying/making and mailing time.

Your truly, Tiny Jewish not-Santa

[Edit: because my mail address decided to play sort-of Secret-Santa with the board, or at least the Secret part, I'll just post it here for the time being: nilly_madar at yahoo dot com. Sorry for the mess, if you tried to reach me and couldn't find the address!]

If you are an undergraduate college student (or know undergrads that you can forward this to), I need your help! I am doing a group project for library school on library reference use among undergrad students. Please complete this anonymous, quick survey (10 questions): [link]

Results will be used for an in-class presentation. Thank you so much!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey everyone!

Remember how I said I would be posting more regular reminders to contribute to the site? Here's November's. If you have a spare dollar or two, you can Paypal it to donations at buffistas dot org, or email me at the same address for my mailing address if you want to send a check. I know this is not a great time for a lot of people, so any bit you can do will help.

And here's another way to help! If you're buying Christmas presents, or other presents, or just something for yourself, and you use one of these Amazon links, we'll get a kickback. Use the links, why not? Books Music DVDs Shoes

Thanks!

Well this is good timing.

I would like to try to give away some BTVS swag to any interested Buffistas in exchange for a donation towards your website hosting costs.

Action figures still in the packages: 1. Buffy 2. Giles 3. Oz and 4. Once More With Feeling wall poster.

I'll send these out to whoever wants them (any or all of these) in exchange for sending a donation to Jesse. Just email me at the address in my profile.

In case you were wondering, apparently being convicted of a felony is just barely enough to keep Uncle Ted from being re-elected. AP just called Alaska's senatorial race for Mark Begich, the popular mayor of Anchorage and a smart and cool guy. Whoot!!!!! [link]
