Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hi, all: a gentle reminder about spoiler font in the brave new world of personalized css -- please use the spoiler-font quick-edit instead of hand-coding your spoilers to appear white.

Now that people can customize the look of the board, you may be trying hard not to spoil people, but inadvertently doing so to someone who's gone to the trouble of matching their spoiler font to the same hot pink as their background color, and are now faced with white text on a pink background.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And in times where you feel pressed to use t font color=white t /font for one logistical reason or another, you can use t span class="spoiler" t /span instead. Works just the same for everyone.

Mark this post if need be.

Our wings are not tired.

(This is my first Press announcement ever, and I hope it's in the right place and that I am doing this right!)(And yeah, I know, "that's what she said!")

Heads up, all peeps, both local and afar:

Sunday, June 15th, I'll be hosting a brunch (starting at Noon) in honor of Suzi to wish her awesome adventures in the next stage of her life in Colorado! The San Francisco Bay Area won't be the same without Suzi, and frankly, Colorado better send over Matt Holliday AND Todd Helton for this trade--'cause she's an All-Star!

So, save the date. And let me know if you're interested in joining us (profile addy is good), because I will likely set up an evite, in order to get proper numbers of guests. Because of the proximity to F2F Madison planning, I don't plan to discuss this brunch in the F2F thread--confusion might reign!

I'm in San Bruno, CA exactly one mile from BART (it's uphill, but BART pick-ups can be made, I'm sure), and right off of 280.

Mostly lurking...

My friend Jessie and I are hosting a party to celebrate the successful completion of our theses. If you live in the area, you probably received an evite. If you didn't, or if you're going to the in the Boston area on Friday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m, e-mail me, and I'll add you to the invite list.

PARTY! YAY!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I just wanted to mention that we've pushed the deadline for High Hat No. 10 back until the end of the month due to the sway of other projects on the editors' time. Which means that if you've been thinking about pitching something to us, now's a great time: highhatsubmissions AT gmail DOT com.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Lightbulbs is now open to discuss the following proposal from Jesse:

Going back to an earlier part of the conversation, I'd like to formally propose eliminating "no preference" as a voting option and also revisit the minimum number of votes needed for a vote to count. I'm not going to propose a specific number at this point, because I could be persuaded that just getting rid of no preference serves the purpose, and I'm not sure what the right number would be anyway.
