Hey there Boston-area writers' strike supporters:
on Friday, writers and fans -- which means, I guess, that you're invited -- are planning a solidarity march from noon to 3, beginning at the First Parish Unitarian Church at 3 Church Street in Cambridge. On tap to speak: Joss Whedon, ("Buffy"/"Firefly" creator and god to fanboys and fangirls throughout the land: Rob Kutner, writer for "The Daily Show;" and Jaime Paglia, co-creator of "Eureka" on SciFi.
Pictures from "Mutant Enemy Day" at the WGA picket lines in LA:
There are some familiar faces.
The Eclectic Word ends the year with a conversation with two of The November 3rd Club's editors: Fiction editor and poet Lenore Weiss and contributing editor and novelist Deborah Grabien. And then, to make it even more exciting, we'll be joined by some of the contributors, reading from their work: James Nave, Madeline Artenberg, Sherman Pearl, Jason Jonkers and Kirpal Gordon.
All in all, sounds like a fun way to end the year.
All of this and more at 7 p.m. EST, Friday Dec. 21st, on The Eclectic Word.
I just posted the list for the Holiday edition scavenger hunt over at Scavenger Click. [link]
