My nutritionist wants me to start tracking my calories and fitness at The Daily Plate [link] and it seems like it would be more fun to do with other people. So, I've created a Buffistas group. It's by invitation only, so go, sign up, and e-mail me your user name at thevwbug at gmail dot com, and we'll get started.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Lightbulbs is open for discussion of the non-premium cable threadspace.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Y'all may have already seen this, but given the number or parents here I thought I should alert everyone to the fact that there was a recall on several Thomas toys because of lead paint. Details are here.

It's only a recall on a limited number of toys right now, and only on ones created between 2005 and 2007, but STILL. LEAD PAINT.

Ok...I warned you.

The quilt that my mother and I made for Quilt Pink! just went for sale on ebay: Snowmen for Mabel.

This was a Very Buffista Project (TM). msbelle donated the whimsical and very fun pink (what other color would we expect?) snowman fabric and Deena wrote the wonderful fairy tale that goes with the quilt, which you can see here.

This quilt is in memory of my grandmother, Mabel C. Hunt, and all proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Please, go check it out, and if you have the money, make a bid. I would love to see this quilt go to someone I know. And since it is a Very Buffista Project, I had to tell you all about it. At least check it out, though. There are more pictures towards the middle of the page. It really turned out quite lovely. I'm very proud of the project.
