You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

MT is on House tonight.

eta: And Mel Harris of thirtysomething fame, bringing to mind Nilly's fine essay on that show and MSCL.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I have an interview tomorrow (er, make that today, in my time zone) for a job that sounds pretty much perfect for me, both for now while I'm in school, and as a stepping stone to other similar jobs once I graduate. It's at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, and I'd appreciate any good-luck thoughts you might be able to spare.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If you are curious as to what I look like, here is a rare photo of Typo in the wild; it probably is appropriate that the one photo out there of me is at an Anti-N-azi protest. [link]

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Hello Buffistas. I have an odd request. I am using the posts from the night we decided to raise money to bring Nilly here in my book. I want to show how it all went down, quickly, all the people who came running to donate and talk through what it would take. It's a perfect addition to the story about Nilly, "Random Acts of Paypal."

Now, to be all ethical, I'd like to get your permission to use your posts.

I'll quite happily email you the document with the posts I'm using.

Please email me at Allyson000@aol.com, let me know your RL, board name, and just a statement that you give me permission to use your posts from that evening. Unless you don't, in which case, please let me know so I can delete.

Yes. I'm phenomenally lazy and trying to get as many e's through this Press announcement as possible, to make the list of folks I have to e a bit shorter:

UTTAD, Narrator, Gus, Nilly, ita, Kat, Consuela, Sophie Max, Steph L., Kristen, OtherKate, aurelia, Tim Minear, SailAweigh, NoiseDesign, JZ, Nicole, deborah grabien, Anne W., Hil R., Ginger, Jon B., Deena, thegrommit, Kristin T., Sue, P.M. Marcontell, RobertH, Cass, Astarte, JenP, Holli

Thanks for your help!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

A friend of mine is selling her Buffy Collector Bears set (that's not her; that's just a picture for people like me who had never even heard of these things), still in its sealed plastic, for $25, including shipping, and she's even willing to be bargained down. If you're interested, profile addy is good.

But too bad, they've been taken.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

One last reminder for F2F attendees:

The super room rate for the Holiday Inn goes through this coming Saturday. If you're coming, need a room, and have been waiting to book?

Do it before Saturday, 16 April, for the good rate.
