Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Well, hell. Here's due warning for anyone else who missed the first season of Veronica Mars but was intrigued by all the kudos it received here and elsewhere and is looking forward to the reruns: 1) they start tonight at 9, and 2) they continue tomorrow at 9, which will be its regular slot for the summer. Yep, Wednesday at 9, same as The Inside. Hmm, did I throw away VCR #2?

The entire West Coast of America, Canada and Mexico are under a tsunami warning, as a result of the offshore quake.

If you live in very low-lying areas, stay informed.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Gloomcookie posted in natter that the tsunami watch is off. Check the link I guess and see if it applies to your respective area.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ok, as part of my new teaching job (yeah!) I have committed to producing a poetry slam in the fall.

Fun, yes? Yes! I am so looking forward to it.

Except I have no fucking clue what I am doing.

Could one of our poets-in-residence mebbe give me some pointers on what goes on here? (Yo, Victor?!)

Anything would be great. ANYTHING.

Hey. New board.

Okay, so.

I'm in a new city. New York City, to be precise. And I'd like to meet some NYCistas at some point in the near future, assuming they're willing.

Thus: if any NYCistas would like to get together for dinner this Friday night, and possibly a showing of Batman Begins afterwards (at the IMAX theater, if I get my way), send me an email at my profile address, and we'll see what we can arrange.
