To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

New column: Life During Wartime: Living the Writer’s Life in Dubya’s America. Enjoy!

Punishingly Intricate

Could I get "rock his socks" off vibes please? The owner of a local record label is going to listen to a couple of my band's songs in about an hour to see if he wants to "represent" us (I think that means help us distribute our record. I'm brand spankin' new at this record making game). We have other options if he doesn't want us but I really, really want him to like us.

Art Crawl!!!

Remember that great $14.99 sale on Fox dvds that Amazon was having last month?

Well, guess what?

Buy.com is doing the same thing!

It includes season one of Buffy, Angel, Alias, 24, The Simpsons, Futurama, Roswell. . .

(Alias, did I say Alias? That was wishful thinking on my part. . . Alias isn't Fox see.)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

o for my Television Genres class, I have to collect research data on some aspect of audience information. I decided to do mine on the length one watches a tv show, and figured it would be easiest to collect data using LJ's nifty poll thingie. I need at least one hundred people to answer the poll to have a decent data base, and I would be so indebted to you all if you could take a minute and answer these questions for me. The answers will only be viewed by me, and it'll all be annonymous. I just need a body of data. So please take my poll, and make a college student happy.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I just got a call from Lee, who is swamped with work and can't poke her head in here, but who just got a call herself from one of the Miracleborns' best friends, who is pleased to announce that Emma has arrived! She's somewhere around eightish pounds, looks very much like her daddy, has blonde hair and is VERY VERY CUTE.

Aimée is doing fine and the family is all cuddled up together happily recovering from the shock of it all.
