Our wings are not tired.

Woo Hoo! Finally put together the pictures from our camping trip to Joshua Tree. I actually took even more than on the page. It was an opportunity to experience all possible seasons in a couple days. We had rain, hail, flash floods, freezing temperatures with clear skies, and sunburns the next afternoon. The desert rocks, as does Lori. We even saw a satellite cruise by, a small meteor, and a shooting star. Many constellations were visable too including the lovely Pleiades. Yes, my awesome hostess brought binoculars.

Desert pics

W&H pictures to follow.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

If you'd like to send fanmail to an Angel crew member, grab a handful of postcards and go down da list. Postcards are best. Easy to sort. Don't have to microwave them. ;-)

These are the people what don't get fanmail, but have worked on the show for years and years.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Attention Buffistas!

You all have been very generous, giving really incredible amounts of money and energy to keep this community running. We've gone a long way on the initial fundraising push and random gifts that have come in along the way. However, we're going to run out of that cash in the next few months. You may have noticed our excellent service recently, but having this much capacity costs money. It's not an emergency at this point, but I wanted to give folks planning time -- maybe you don't have any extra cash right now, but you will in the next couple of months (tax refund, maybe?). Please consider making a contribution to this community, especially if you haven't before. No amount too small, none too large. You can paypal to donations@buffistas.org, or email that same address for mailing information.

THANK YOU.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Attention SCAdians, costumers, fabric artists, and those who like to play dress-up:

As the likelihood that I will be building garb again is slim to nonexistent, I'm seeking a good home for six patterns from Mediaeval Miscellania, uncut, with the original instructions and inserts. I'll also throw in the giggleworthy Butterick attempts at cotehardies, in children's and adult sizes (perfect for school plays and Halloween parties!). All I ask is that they be used, and not left languishing in a basement (which is what they're doing now). First person to e-mail my profile address with shipping details gets 'em: if a trade would make you feel better, make me an offer (those of a porntastic nature will get the sender giggled at, but if it's really creative I'll let DH read it).

(and the patterns are gone. Thanks.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Boston-area-istas: My aunt, in Burlington, needs a housesitter for March 23-30. This would be the easiest $300 you've ever made -- she's got two kids, both in high school and totally self-sufficient. There would be no cooking or cleaning for you to do, just sleep there so that an adult is present if there's an emergency.

If anyone's interested, email me at my profile addy.

Update

Y'all rock. Thank you.

While I'm here, let me just say again and publically how impressed and grateful I am that we've been able to keep this thing going with voluntary contributions, and I don't see that stopping any time soon. It's very cool.

New Yorkers:

Tomorrow morning, there will be a (hopefully) massive, peaceful, equal marriage rights demonstration in front of City Hall. Details are at NYMarriageNOW.
