And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm buying Buffy Season 3 and Firefly DVDs on Amazon today. Anyone want to Share the Love, email me at my profile addy before noon board time. Thanks!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If you have a white G3 iBook with dual USB, don't pick it up by the left-hand side alone.

move out and draw fire

It's only about 9 months off, but I'm already starting to prepare for moving to Greece. Part of that means paring down the treasures I've hung onto but don't want to pay to ship overseas...these will go on eBay soon, but you guys get first crack. Email me at profile addy if you are interested, first-come-first-get, no charge to you unless postage goes over $10.

    • One pair women's ice skates, w.size 9, white, worn twice
    • One pair men's ice skates, m.size 9, black, worn twice
    • Two pairs Rollerblades, combo lace-up/ski boot style, black with red accents. One pair fits men's size 7 and has been worn ~20 times, but probably doesn't need new wheels yet. The other pair fits men's size 6 and has been worn about twice.
    • Two street hockey sticks for adults in the 5'10" range. Also some street hockey balls.
    • One trunk rack for bicycles, the kind that straps onto your trunk and hangs the bikes off the back. Used once (not ideal for a Miata but probably works fine on other cars).

Yes, I am chucking this whole "active lifestyle" bullshit and becoming a bona fide couch potato. I can't resist my destiny.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

NYCistas, Bostonistas, DCistas, and Phillyistas:

The last time I went to the gym, they handed me a card good for a week's free membership at NYSC, WSC, BSC, or PSC (that's [Your City Name] Sports Club, in each city). If anyone wants it, email me, and it's yours!

If anyone is interested in a slightly marked-up 2003 edition of Writer's Market, please email me at my profile addy. All I did was make occasional marks in the margins about markets/agents I was considering.

EDIT--It's been claimed.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Seattleistas!

In light of the looming snow forcast, it's been decided that if you want to see Deb before Wed. night, you should come to B&O Espresso Cafe on Capitol Hill tonight at 7PM.

B&O has nummy nummy food, coffee, and sugary things. And tonight, it'll have Deb too!

(If you're thinking of showing up, please drop me a line at my profile addy, just so we have a vague idea of who will be there.)
