There was an article somewhere recently, maybe the NYT, that talked about how his handlers were worried that if he gave up smoking it would affect his great voice.

I decided to put off errands until tomorrow, when it is supposed to hit the 20s. So instead I cleaned and cleaned and put together a lamp and hauled a bunch of things to the dumpster.
There's still plenty of cleaning to do, but I think I may stop for a while and have a vodka gimlet.
