Mostly lurking...

This kinda Boston Newbie is quite enjoying as well. It's kind of fun living in a place worth the smackdown.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think it's got a better claim to Premiere World City than Atlanta which seemed especially fixated with that notion during its Olympics.

My favorite reaction to New York losing the 2012 Olympics was, "Well, it's not like we NEED the Olympics for people to know we're a World Class City... everyone knows that already!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What the heck is Chicago known for? Outside of having a pretty good basketball team not so long ago....

I've managed to finally send e-mails to two former employers who I'm hoping can give me references for the MLS program I'm applying to (application is due 3/1--gah!!). I also just found out that the woman who sits kitty-corner from me here at work is also applying to the program! Very cool to have a schoolmate at work.

Oh, and Chicago is known for architecture (the best in the world), its museums (Art Institute, Science & Industry, Sue at the Field), and the awesomeness that is the lakefront.

What is even happening?

People, you don't need to defend Boston to a Floridian living in California. Please.
