Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

To go along with your snake massage, slug facial.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mike Rowe and Jon Stewart were wonderful together, two smart, witty guys obviously having a fun time cracking each other up. Two tastes that taste great together, discussing Avian Vomitology and Chick Sexing, among other things.

Sorry Perkins.

So wait, was it the coughing that woke you up or the angry cat trying to strangle you?

I tend to only take sick days lately when I am well and truly incapacitated. As in, unsafe to drive. I'm not trying to be all macho about it (obvious given my whine) it just seems like as long as my brain is working....it doesn't help that I no longer have a seamless backup. In order to make sure there is coverage, I have to reset all sorts of stupid things (which they could do too....they just don't.) If I got hit by a bus, they'd have the means to take care of stuff, but it'd take a day or so. Which, really, I should resolve. But it is kind of like pulling teeth.

Okay, this kinda makes me mad. A CNN story and panel about Atheists.

The Story

The Panel

A story about atheists being descriminated against followed by a panel. The panel largely just bashes atheists. By and large I don't think atheists face a lot of descrimination, but the panel just bashes instead of talking about it. How about actually having an atheist on the panel?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Honestly, even though you are not incapcitated, you would be better at home. - the more you talk , the more you cough. A day at home might just rest your lungs enough to recover . At home you can do things like run the shower or the bath for warm steaminess. and you can counfound people by not being in th eoffice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sara, I want you to go home. And the seamless backup thing--is it all on you to make happen, or is management also on the hook?

The other day I was shopping for Delsym and they were out. The pharmacist told me that Robitussin DM had the same active ingredient, but the Delsym suspension was better which was why it lasted longer. Cool to know.

I've been suffering from middle-of-the-night coughing fits that startle me awake. I'm finally getting robotic enough to go find the Delsym and take a swig before I'm even properly awake. Don't cough during the days. Just that one fit per night.

How did you manage to not spill the coffee?

Are you serious? That's like asking someone how they didn't roll over on their kid.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Vortex has a good point.

Or it's just the pallative effects of coffee and gay porn.

Coffee, check. Now I just need to hunt down some gay porn since I've actually been working all morning.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

We're in Lurgan, Northern Ireland, which is pretty much the asshole of the world. No, really. Seems like every second shop is boarded up. BUT, the job is good, but but, we get paid monthly, and our first paycheck isn't until the 15th, so I've had to borrow from the bank of mum and dad to keep up with things.

Well, if the work's good, then it's worth it. How long's the gig for?

How's Manc?

Fuckin' cold, dude. I can't wait to get a proper coat this weekend. Did you hear about the letterbombing in Wales?
