Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Breaking news -- the crazy astronaut now faces charges of attempted murder.

I bet she'll get ten years, with the option of being set free if she agrees to fight the caveman....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is there actual fire, or just Fire Department personnel?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Maybe locking the door is a code violation.

It seems that nothing is actually on fire, but there is a broken sprinkler head. We haven't been told to evacuate. Yet.

The Fire Department keeps getting on the intercom to tell us that building systems will be returning to normal shortly, but they don't sound very reassuring or confident about it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think I have frozen king cake with satisfactory results but (a) it was a long time ago, so I may be remembering it as working better than it actually did and (2) I am not very demanding of cake, it's essential cakiness is really enough for me.

Isn't it part of the king cake culture that you bring one into work and then lean on whoever gets the baby to bring in another one ad infinitum so everyone gains 20 pounds before lent? That system sidesteps the leftover issue pretty nicely. Unless you do this in a workplace with only 4 employees, which I have done, and it was trouble. So, on balance, I may be coming down pro-freezer.
