I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

When is Mardi Gras?

Forty seven days before the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox. Simple!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mardi Gras season stretches from the end of Christmas (6th January) until just before the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday). The big Tuesday celebration this year will be the 20th of February.

I was so startled to see king cake and beads appear in NO in early January, but it was cool for my sister who'd come up for Christmas and wasn't going to be here on the Mardi itself. Some legit booty.

A friend of mine was in one of the parades last weekend. I would have pictures, but he's not emailing me back fast enough.
