I wish someone had gotten some pictures of their glazed, uncaffeinated stares.
Yeah, that really is prime territory for all kinds of Ben is Glory? exchanges right there.

This is why I have to have coffee and breakfast at home -- if I don't, I am basically incapable of getting it Out In The World.
My problem is that I would have to get up even earlier in order to have coffee and breakfast at home, and that's just not on. If I got less sleep, I wouldn't be capable of English or able to comprehend clocks, and that sort of thing doesn't wear off for hours no matter how many cups of coffee I pour down my throat.
Although now that I don't have to drive in the morning sans coffee, the world is a safer place.
Way to trash your reputation. No doubt rehab is next. [link]
Huh. You've got to be intelligent and pretty driven to be an astronaut. And this woman is now throwing that all away....
There's a Dunkin Donuts in a CTA train station I was at yesterday. The station is unheated, so the water pipe had frozen, leading to no coffee. However, I didn't need to be caffeinated to immediately understand that.
Maybe it helped that I took several mini-naps while waiting for my Dr. appointments....
I've pretty much given up coffee. The only caffeine I get is tea, and I don't have that on any regular basis (every other day or so). On Fridays I'll have some form of coffee some of time, so that I get a little extra zing to start the weekend, and when I'm absolutely gronked beyond the point of functioning on a Monday I'll have coffee then too, but mostly I'm off the stuff. I've definitely noticed a slight decrease in visits from the insomnia fairy.
There is only one shop I've found on the planet that is capable of getting my summer drink right. Iced coffee with 1/3 skim milk. Biggest one they have. Just coffee over ice with a dash of skim. I have gotten everything from one of those frozen jobbies to iced lattes. My drink is much easier people.
I am incapable of making coffee before I've had coffee, so Mr. Jane sets the pot before he comes to bed, after he gets home from work. This, if he weren't also a pretty decent guy and really cute, would be enough to keep me married to him.
Yeah, I pretty much reserve coffee for special occasions, or when I'm eating breakfast at a restaurant. (Even then, I'll often just get tea.) Coffee seems to upset my tummy sometimes. Also, I pretty much have to have a full stomach to handle coffee.
Also, coffee doesn't seem to help the anxiety that much....
If I could get to bed earlier, I wouldn't need coffee in the morning to function. Since I'm a natural night owl, this is unpossible. It requires more willpower than I currently have, or at least, I'm using that willpower for other things like not eating candy for dinner or blowing my entire paycheck on shoes.
Tom makes the coffee in the morning. I'll have a sip or two with breakfast, but I drink it mostly waiting for/on the train.
coffee...
it took tries to call in my perscriptions
