You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

information libertarian

I'll see you Happy Birthday to Aiden, Micole, and Victor, and raise you a happy birthday to my nephew Ryan, who is turning 8.

I am home with a sick baby who doesn't, as it turns out, have an ear infection. I should work on my taxes and assorted reimbursement accounts and smuggle away some of my daughter's toys so we can walk in her room, but I am strangely un-feeling like doing these useful things.

Alo it is 31 degrees here, so for once I am not bitching about it being too hot in NC.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There was an article in the Times Magazine about "designer dogs" (here), in which I learned that purebred pugs generally can't get pregnant OR give birth on their own without human intervention, because their bodies don't really work. WTF is that.

That's seriously upsetting. Then again, I couldn't get pregnant nor will I be able to give birth without some major medical intervention.

eta not to make it all about me.

I guess the breeding shows a sort of selection going on that is quicker than the usual natural type. What humans select for, though, seems stupid.

Beagles and basset hounds are making Bagels

We always just called these beagle-bassets and they were pretty common where I grew up mainly because our extended family had both beagles and bassets and they'd occasionally be mixy.
