Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Happy Birthday, Victor!

I was lucky my car started this morning. That's what I get for not starting it since I got home Friday night--big mistake!!

My poor cat was banned from my bedroom last night after she kept bitching me out for taking away her food after 9:00 pm. My punishment was to find out that, as sometimes happens, the bedroom door lock got stuck and I couldn't get out without taking one of the hinges off and moving the door around to unstick it. After I got out and took my shower, the cat kept trying to lead me to her food dish to let me know what she was fretting about, but I was a meanie and instead of feeding her, I scooped her up and shoved her in the carrier.

I draped a towel over it to take her out into the -9 degree weather and then freaked when the car wouldn't start. Finally, it got going, and after waiting a few minutes for the car to warm up, I got her to the vet's. I'm just hoping they won't have to pull any teeth while cleaning them!

Our wings are not tired.

Man, I need to move to Florida.

Woo! Warm enough (upper 60s), but so very odd to have rain at this time of year. Usually we are on water restriction in the Winter. Strange weather.

But Prince! In the rain! That was most satisfying.

Happy Birthday Victor!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's chilly here at about 50 degrees this AM. But not for the whole day as it is forecast to be in the mid-80s this afternoon. WOOT! Good thing I have shorts.

Happy Birthday Victor.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Victor! You should get a ferret. No wait, you already did that...

Man, I miss Sparky and her DH already. You better appreciate her DCistas!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I had to go renew my parking sticker in the mumblety-freezing weather. (By the grace of ticket officers too froze to go hunting, I did not get a ticket.) Okay, it was 100 steps out of my way, but --! I am definitely not going to the bank on my lunch break.

Not that I will be allowed to leave the building anyway, I am so behind.
