I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh, hey -- did the commercial run where the dude asked his girlfriend to marry him?

Ok, I meant to tell y'all earlier, but I found exactly the piece of furniture I want for all my electronica storage. It was an antique writing desk. The top flips up with a set of drawers and storage slots and would fit a laptop at a comfy sitting height. The awesome thing about it is that instead of being on 4 legs, its base is a block that you can still sit at, with 2 columns of 6+ drawers on each side. It was this gorgeous mahogany and I loved the lines on the main structure. It smelled good. Unfortunately, it also had faux front legs that I knew every time I saw them, I'd recoil. My style is much simpler, less chunky. If I'm going to spend $400 on a piece of furniture, I'm gonna have to like more than just its function and form, I have to like the style.

But now I know what to look for.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Little known fact: God hates Chicago.
The coach makes me cringe every time he does that. It just feels so unChristian to me. It's ugly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mother Nature /= Liese

I like the sound of that desk, sarameg! I pretty much love anything in a roll top, and lots of drawers and smelling good just add to the draw.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The coach makes me cringe every time he does that.

I missed something. Who does that? It can't possibly be Lovey or Tony.

I guess it's good we won't be having a parade on a day with an expected high of 5°F.

It wasn't a rolltop (though I like those too) it was a flip-up. Not much bigger than a bedside table, just taller. Man, had it not those legs...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

aurelia, it's the owner or someone -- head white guy -- who starts talking about giving the glory to god, and then meanders off into god being the reason they won and helping them and the whole city of Indianapolis and etc.

I just realized in the Chevy ad with people singing different songs, the racecar guy is doing "Going Back to Cali." Heh.

Flip-up might be better, what with the not sticking when you try to open it. Rounded or rectilinear?

I think I've seen desks like that labeled as secretaries in the antique shops around town, though not often with the block base. I'll have to watch for that. Not that I need another desk, but I do like to look at them even if I'm not buying.

But the coach did say something about how the fact that both coaches are black is nice, but what really matters is that they're both Christian.

Art Crawl!!!

Little known fact: God hates Chicago.

Explains the craptastic temperatures. . .

BTW, Masterpiece Theatre (in Chicago at least) is going to have a version of Dracula next week.
