Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The only possible upside to this migraine thing is that I haven't had a hangover or any ill effects from drinking. Still, I went to bed too late last night to be considering teaching in half an hour. Yet, I must.

And then The Container Store to try and spend my Christmas gift card. That's a lot of stimulation right there.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oooh, Container Store! I could go there... or maybe tomorrow, while the rest of the world is watching the Superbowl. In fact, I could make it a twofer and go to the LL Bean store that's nearby in Burlington.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My plans for the day were to get up and out of the house in time to go to TJs and run some other errands before other people got there.

Instead, I've been awake for about 20 minutes, and the coffee is just now ready.

Oh well.

does anyone on the board collect coins? I have a handful of oldish (40-60s) ones that I don't know if they are worth doing anything with. I mean, I know they are not worth tons, but am wondering if it is more than face value.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

beth, you could just tear everything into little pieces while you watch tv. I think it could be kind of therapeutic.

msbelle, I'd start with ebay. Not to sell them, but to see if you can get a gauge of their value.

I've cleaned up all the mail from January, not to mention clearing up everything that has arrived in February so far. I feel all accomplished-like.
