Hey, if it means I don't have to read any more, woo and, might I add, a big hoo.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Save Boston flash game.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies, all.

OK, today I have to grade papers, do laundry, and go grocery shopping. What order should this be in? Should I go to Trader Joe's or Safeway? Should I also try to go see the speaker from Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance who's speaking at the synagogue in Georgetown, or will that cut itno the time needed for doing work too much? Should I feel guilty about violating my "No school work on Shabbos" rule? Should I try to watch the end of Exodous before doing other stuff? (I started watching it last night, then realized that it's 3 1/2 hours long and I needed to go to bed.) Should I save the movie for a reward for after I finish the other stuff? What should I have for lunch? Should I keep reading the latest Daniel Silva book even though it's irritating me?

OK. Perhaps the first thing I should do is find coffee.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

They already had one, maybe two kids, I'm pretty sure.
Hush. I only remembered that after posting last night.

So now that we've established that I'm an ignorant slut...

Shit's all sorts of different now.

GA: Eff Izzy. I mean seriously. I am SO OVER her not being able to feel anything for anyone else. Her moment with George was ok, but I didn't feel like she went there for him, but to make herself feel better and "do the right thing". Christina;s was much more honest and better.

Also, Meredith broke me this week. (Ok, I get broken every week, what can I say?) I can't imagine having THAT mom. The whole "What happened to you??" just got to me.

Callie O'Malley? Seriously? Laughed really hard at that one. And WTF is Addison doing?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So, I currently live on the second floor of a building. There is another apartment above mine, and a commercial space on the first floor where a restaurant/wine bar is being built.

Yesterday, the workmen came up to tell us they needed to look behind our stove to get to the chimney (the original chimney from before the building was converted to apartments -- currently out of use). Normally I'd be averse to someone cutting a giant hold in my wall, but whatever, we're moving in a month.

Turns out that the chimney is packed full of soot, which they need to clear out for some reason. The way they propose to do this is to put up a plastic tarp over the doorway between the kitchen and the rest of the apartment, and bang on the soot with a stick until it all comes crashing down into our kitchen. Where we prepare food.

And, of course, they can't wait until the end of the month when we'll be gone, because this has to be done now. (Nevermind that they were supposed to open in October, and basically left the place sitting vacant for 4 months while they did no work on it at all...no no, now it's urgent...)

They did offer us $200 and a free dinner at their other restaurant (down the street) for our inconvenience, but OY. We're hoping they can wait at least a couple more weeks so we can have the kitchen mostly packed up. Or maybe sweeten the offer with a weekend hotel stay so they can deep-clean the soot out of our kitchen.

Weekend stay elsewhere and they pay for the cleaning, yes.

GA, some parts I liked and some parts made me want to throw things at the screen. But they've all been mentioned. Mostly by brenda.

Okay, one thing, when did Addison become the most interesting character? The people I am supposed to like? I don't.

JZ - Feb 03, 2007 7:12:41 am PST #7866 of 10001
See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

What Cass said. And play the frazzled pregnant moving-soon-and-overwhelmed (even if you aren't really) card if you possibly can. People are generally willing to be all kinds of nice and concessionary to pregnant you in ways they never will the rest of your life.

sarameg, I'm so sorry. Such a rotten way to go, and such a cruel, protracted grief for everyone left behind.
