Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

Damn, Matt, that sucks. Very glad to hear you're okay. I didn't realize you were still getting teh snow. I remember Memphis in snow, scarey place.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That sucks, Matt. I'm glad you're okay.

So, what are people doing this weekend?

Puppy Bowl! And rehearsal.

I hope everything's ok (or at least, relatively inexpensive to fix) on your car, Matt! Glad to hear you're all right.

I'm going to do laundry and cleaning tonight and tomorrow, try and get antibiotics into my cat tonight in preparation for her teeth cleaning on Monday, and watch football on Sunday. Oh, and I'll be finally watching my Netflix disc as well, so I can get it sent off on Monday, as well as finishing off my library books that are waaaay overdue.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So, what are people doing this weekend?

Sat: playground, library, laundry, dinner at friends

Sun: church, TJs, WFs

Oh, and Puppy Bowl!! Much better than the usual pre-game blather. Comcast's OnDemand has previews with puppies that are just too damn cute!

OnDemand also has really good season overviews for both teams called the Championship Chase, using a lot of the top-quality NFL Films footage and edited in an occasionally snarky way (one of the Bears recaps was narrated using soap-opera titles).

Sorry for the ditching, Matt.

I hope to do my taxes, get the emissions done, salon, clean, laundry and grocery shop. And I've got to come up with one more house-y thing to do that isn't routine. I've discovered doing at least one thing like that every weekend makes me feel all accomplished and shit. Which is nutty, but there you go.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I do possess some measure of that skill, but not enough to remove a car that entered the ditch backwards and sideways and ended up with a snapped fence post jammed into the wheel well above the rear axle.

Yeah, that'll do it. Damn, that sucks. The last time something like that happened to one of mine, we were able to lift the car because it was a Ford Festiva.

And I wanted to clarify that I was laughing bitterly at myself and not at you, since I envy that you had a safe driving record until now. Between the weather and the deer, mine didn't last long.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Matt, I'm sorry. That sucks.

So, what are people doing this weekend?

Working tonight, then bar. Tomorrow, taking a run (maybe), and drinking and watching movies (or re-watching Supernatural). Sunday, SUPER BOWL!! and then fetching the car for my ROAD TRIP THAT BEGINS ON MONDAY. WOOT!

Scrappy - Feb 02, 2007 10:36:31 am PST #7725 of 10001
Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I totally get that, Sarameg! I feel the same. Next weekend we have a garage organization planned. This weekend we are driving up to San Luis Obispo to visit the In-Laws. We bring our dog and stay with J's sister and her husband (who are the BEST peeps to hang out with!) in their gorgeous house with windows that look out on their horses and a donkey. J's parents live across the street, so we can see a lot of them without actually staying with them, which saves both our sanity.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I might go climbing tonight, and maybe go out to Pt. Reyes for whale-watching on Sunday.
