Coding and Sleeping

In D&D, who would win in a fight between a Level One Wizard and a house cat?

Usually the house cat wins.

Well, what if the wizard gets off his one magic missile spell? Doesn't that kill the cat automatically?

Happy First Birthday Olivia!

The more Boston's officials talk, the sillier they sound.

Totally.

They shouldn't be going after these schmucks. They should just sue Turner and be done with it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

About a dozen fans gathered outside Charlestown District Court on Thursday morning with signs saying "1-31-07 Never Forget" and "Free Peter."

Here's a picture of the "Never Forget" sign: [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

everybody panic! by Wil Wheaton

...Media which overreacted and labeled the viral marketing a terrorist hoax, decides that [adult swim] and Turner somehow owe people of Boston an apology, and also owe city all the costs the city incurred. There's a rather angry editorial at boston.com which really lays into Turner for perpetuating a "terrorist hoax" on an innocent city. The only problem with that is that it wasn't a fucking terrorist hoax! It was a viral marketing campaign that went awry when a bunch of people over-reacted.

So the first thing is that the fucking idiot media need to stop referring to this as a terrorist hoax, because it wasn't, okay? And all these politicians and newsdrones who are embarrassed now that it's clear they overreacted also need to stop trying so hard to make put this all at Turner's feet.

Look, I'd be pissed, too, if my whole city was effectively shut down for a day, but how exactly is [adult swim] and Turner responsible for this? Did they tell their viewers to go out and create some sort of terrorist hoax? I'm pretty sure they just told their viewers to build cool LED versions of the Mooninites (which is pretty fucking cool, if you ask me.) As far as I can tell, it was the media and law enforcement who decided to freak out and make everyone in the city of Boston think it was some sort of terrorist plot, and then a terrorist hoax.

Gawd, Wheaton's ST:TNG character annoyed me, but the guy is pretty cool....

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Huh. I get something asking me to enter in the access code.

Weird, it didn't give me any problems. But I've set the code to 730.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I like Wheaton's blogs, he's pretty funny.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Notice that not only did I spend my day at work in downtown Boston literally surrounded by ::cough:: suspicious devices without being disturbed, I had two very complicated (Somerville to Belmont to Cambridge to Boston to Cambridge to Belmont and back to Somerville) commutes without being affected.

However, if you'd tuned in to any of the local TV stations, you'd have heard that Boston was in a major state of panic.

Wrody McWrod with Wrod sauce over braised Wrods.

Err, not so much. Turner hired a company to do it - it was a corporate sponsored viral campaign, not a fan initiated one.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if you now started seeing Mooninites turning up in a lot of places.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've set the code to 730.

That worked. Pretty! I was expecting snowball fight fun, not cars covered in the white stuff "fun"
