No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, thanks Jen. I think there's a combination of problems that mean what she has is what's going to work: she couldn't read the tiny letters on those things, and I think she has five dosage times a day. But that could be wrong. Maybe I'll order one of those for her anyway, just for the hell of it.

Oh, see now, five dosage times a day is evil and throws everything off. Well, and small print is not helpful either.

Really, for my poor grandmother the lack of good vision is the problem -- did I tell you people she was accidentally doubling up on one thing and not taking another for a while? Yikes.

Aye, aye, aye. That's scary. Don't do that Jesse's grandma!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for googling pill boxes, JenP! I never even thought to. I think one of those will indeed work for me. I've been doing what AmyLiz's mom does, and just keeping them in a regular pill bottle.

I do wish I were there to help more.

hip deep in pie

I have the last pill box that Jen linked to. It works when I remember to fill it.

My nutritionist friend says that avoiding nightshade vegetables (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers) will help with inflamation.

ita, there was a brief article in the Globe and Mail today about how kettleball was the new hot fitness craze. [link]

Aw. Does she live near your folks, Jesse?

Well, phooey on that (I mean, not phooey on the advice. Phooey on the not being able to eat the yummies). The first two, especially, I would miss a lot. Fortunately inflammation isn't one of my issues. Yet.

Heh, yeah -- downstairs. Between them and my aunt, they do OK. And she's still basically fine mentally, so it's not like they go around making sure she's got the right pills in the right places -- they assume she does. It's a fine line. As anyone knows, really, when you're trying to help a grownup, much less your mother.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

kettleball was the new hot fitness craze

I am so trendy. Again.

My doctor gave me instructions that certain pills were to be eaten with meals (3x a day) and others 1 hour before bedtime. That's way too much like math, and math that assumes I get three squares. I cheat and have the evening's pills all at once.
