Plus, when he realized that some things were in the freezer that should have been on the trolleys, it was a clue for him to check everything. if he didn't have time, he should have asked about the key ingredients. Moreover, he doesn't have the maturity to run a kitchen. He doesn't know how to foster communication and a sense of purpose. I think that the right person won.

Operators of four northwest suburban spas contacted Algonquin police Wednesday about a man who has been getting facials and body scrubs and leaving without paying.

Algonquin police have been investigating similar cases since March, when a man using the name Scott Kendry struck an Algonquin spa and another one in January, said Algonquin Police Detective Andrew Doles. An investigation showed that a man using the same name and matching the description also had struck in neighboring Lake in the Hills and in Brookfield, Wis.

"As little as $65 at one place, where he just got a color for his hair, and up to $400 in Wisconsin, where he had scheduled a whole day of services," Doles said.

I have mixed feelings about all this. I think the police, etc. overreacted. It should have been obvious that the things were harmless. OTOH, the guy should have known that the authorities might think it was some sort of bomb.

Attorney General Martha Coakley scheduled a 9 p.m. press conference to announce the arrrest of Peter Berdovsky, an Arlington artist.

At the related website they've got a Granada TV short documentary about Carnaby Street and King's Road from about '66 or '67. It shows all the famous boutiques like Granny Takes A Trip and Biba and I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet (where the Beatles and Hendrix bought those old hussar jackets).

IDW Publishing goes where no comic publisher has gone before: putting out an edition of its upcoming Star Trek comic in Klingon. Star Trek: Klingons: Blood Will Tell is a new, five-part miniseries that will be available in a special 40-page Klingon-language edition, accompanied by the original script in English to aid translation, the publisher said. The comic, which debuts in April, will also be available in a 32-page English-language edition.

Set in the universe of the original Trek series, Star Trek: Klingons: Blood Will Tell comes from writer Scott Tipton (aided by his brother, David Tipton) and artist David Messina. The series takes incidents from familiar episodes of the original series and retells them from the Klingon point of view.

The first issue centers on an unsteady peace that breaks into full-scale war after a Klingon cruiser is destroyed by the Federation starship Enterprise. Issue two will examine the result of Montgomery Scott's beaming of thousands of tribbles onto a Klingon cruiser. Artist Joe Corroney will join Messina in providing variant covers for the series.

I ran a personal essay writing workshop for parents of kidlets at my school tonight, and it was awesome! The only problem is that I didn't get home until 9:45 and have been too wired and bouncy to fall asleep. Pity about that 5:45 AM alarm. Real pity.
