Along those lines: at a birthday party this weekend, I was introduced to someone who said "Oh, I've heard about you! You're that goth girl who works at the Evil Empire! my cousin works there; he told me about seeing you around."
It's because working with you makes them cooler by association.
Do people there generally like Gates? Proud of him? Indifferent? Fear him? Hate?
Vaguely proud with a side of "Huh", I think. Most of us worker bees are so far removed from him that he's just kinda like the weather to us.
Yes, we liked the show quite a bit when it was called "Angel."
At least the article's writer wasn't blind to the irony.
Oh, Rachel, why torment us so? You and your fiance are the best Hollywood-Toronto couple ever, please start coming correct!

Cons: interacting with other people who work here, which would probably involve a lot of the "I'm not in costume, these are my everyday clothes" -type of conversation.
just smile and clean your fingernails with a knife. They'll get the hint.
Invisible Book Shelf
Cool. But requires the "modification" of one book.
Yeah, but, Tommyrot, it's Stephen King, so there are copies just lying around everywhere.
Why are progressives much more likely to use a Mac than conservatives?
But on the software side, the share of the market held by Apple's OS X operating system looks tiny beside Microsoft's behemoth. It's even smaller on conservative web sites. When it comes to visitors to Instapundit, OS X visitors make up only 2-3%, suggesting that conservatives are less likely to go for the Apple brand than the general public. On the other hand, Daily Kos statistics show that between 15% and 25% of visitors to this site are using Macs -- an astounding 5x times the general population of these computers. If you were at YearlyKos last time around, you could spot more Macs at breakfast than you'd find in an Apple store.
So here's a question: why? Why do liberals like Macs, while conservatives shun them?
Followed by a bunch of theories.

Oh, and a couple years back someone noted that TV and movie villains usually used PCs and the good guys usually used Macs.
Everything still in one piece, Aimee?
