Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a baby blanket and a onesie emblazoned with the ERA logo.

Heh. I had overalls with a male/female equality symbol on the front. Good times, good times.

The status is NOT quo.

My mom had Ms. Magazine in the bathroom for on-the-pot reading and had a copy of The Feminine Mystique on a prominent bookshelf.

huh, I was raised in Texas and um, yeah, none of that. Although my mom did work out of the home pretty steadily from 1977 on.

I have an awesome Ms Magazine cover as a poster in my office, with "Wonder Woman for President" on it. Kick ass.

Good times on the SAG Awards: Chandra Wilson and Hugh Laurie in a row!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

We had Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex on the bookshelf downstairs.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We didn't have any of that sort of stuff around, except for Free to Be ... You and Me. My mom worked outside the home part-time until I was in kindergarten, but then stopped until a year or two ago. The first time I saw "Our Bodies, Our Selves" was when my sister brought it home from college.

Hee. I can still sing most of the Free to Be You and Me songs from memory. We had the record. I bought the DVD a few years ago because I didn't know it existed. I should get around to watching it one of these days.
